Danni build - February 15: Brazing the crankshaft

Trying soldering and brazing

More parts today, along with trying some different soldering and brazing processes. The engine uses brazed connections in a few places; one of them is the crankshaft.

Making the crankshaft opening

Here is the crankshaft in progress. The rod is cut away between the crank arms to make the opening; it is the lower rod in the vice in this photograph.

Cleanup and final cuts

The crankshaft looked rather dirty after brazing, so it needed some cleanup and the final cuts.
