Danni build - February 26: First Assembly and Run

The first assembly

Exciting times—the first assembly! With all the pieces connected together, the engine was running.

A little flywheel clearance

The flywheel was catching the base—oops. I could have taken a little more off the flywheel, but instead used a small shim to give it the clearance it needed.

Wearing in

A little oil and some time running helped the engine wear in, and it soon ran much more smoothly.

After this, I took it apart for painting and reassembly. All the fun machining was now done.
